Make Christmas A LIDL Special

 

Brief

Lidl were losing out at Christmas to “posher” competitors as customers wanted to upgrade from their usual Lidl shop for the most important meal of the year. Our job was to show them how they didn’t have to trade up to more premium supermarkets, they could do it at Lidl by buying the Deluxe range.


Idea

We transformed the upgrade narrative into an activation by asking the nation on social media how we could make their Christmas a Lidl Special, bringing to life as many wishes as we could in more social content. We even managed to poke some fun at a competitor with a bang-on-brief reactive tweet too!

I was heavily involved at the concept stage of this campaign and then supported an in-house Copy Writer & Art Director to bring it to life.
